Hope Comes with New Year
Happy New Year!
This year, I'm sending that oft-expressed sentiment to you with more hopeful fervor than ever before. In many ways the old 2008 was anything but a happy year. It was a year in which we witnessed the best of our youth sacrificed in battle; watched helplessly as seemingly overnight our individual net worths took unprecedented tumbles, and saw our environment continue its deterioration.
Our hope for a better year ahead rests on what many of us think are the extraordinarily capable shoulders of Barack Obama. With overwhelming numbers we've entrusted him to restore America to its former glory. I believe he'll do it. And like millions of Americans, including many who didn't vote for him, I pledge to help him get us there in any way I possibly can.
Longfellow's Coffee Obama Blend
By now thousands of you have tried our Longfellow's Coffee Obama Blend specialty coffee. Some of you have told me how much you enjoy the brew, saying that it is indeed worthy of its namesake--a satisfying cup, full of integrity that fulfills its promise.
Longfellow's Coffee Obama Blend combines the finest specialty coffee beans grown in Hawaii, Kenya, and Indonesia--all premier coffee-growing regions associated with Barack Obama's lineage and early years.
Highly-prized Hawaiian Kona Extra Fancy beans give Longfellow's Coffee Obama Blend its full body and mild and mellow character; the Kenya AA beans add a wine-like flavor, and the Indonesian Sulawesi beans provide unexpected interest with their earthy taste, slightly smoky tone, and hints of spice.
On January 20, I'll be in front of my television watching the transforming, historic moment I had hoped to see in my lifetime as Barack Obama becomes our nation's 44th president. I'll toast to his success--no, to America's success--in the most fitting way I can imagine, by raising my cup high and taking a sip of Longfellow's Coffee Obama Blend.
Again, my best wishes for a Happy New Year.
